Preface
In this book we will regard the dream as a message from the spirit world that provides us with a profound understanding of our destiny and karma. The dream will also be viewed as a window to understanding past karma-past life, and future karma – the spiritual destiny in this life cycle and the life cycle to come. The dreams were told by ‘Dreamers’, most of them students or graduates of ‘Hotam’ School for Biographical-Anthroposophical Counselors Training & Work with Karma.
In the long and in-depth training process, that relies on the extensive knowledge brought by Dr R. Steiner on Karma and Reincarnation, and its practice in the individual biography – we begin to develop a ‘sense for karma’. Thus, the screen is lifted from the person we were in a previous life, whom we carry with us in this life as an inner, unconscious being. This being dictates and directs our basic mental gestures, as well as the way we respond to events in our current life.
The Anthroposophy-based biography-work conducted in the counseling room – Including the spiritual Inspiration on dreams – is actually not done by us, but rather by the spiritual world. Our job is to train ourselves to serve as a pure and conscious tool that allows Inspirations[1] to be brought forward to our consciousness.
All who walk sincerely and courageously along the path; who diligently devote much time to their mental and spiritual development and the study of the spiritual-science; those who do not suffer from spiritual laziness, or alternatively overcome it and do not seek the easy path that seems to lead directly to the ‘Light’; those who subject their thoughts to discipline and do not allow their thoughts to stray; those who boldly examine their character flaws and stop casting them on others and on ‘fate’; those who ask God (the spiritual world) to correct them – all of these can be calm and trust the help of the spiritual world in the correct spiritual understanding of dreams.
To complete the biographical picture, some of the dreams will be accompanied by –
- Description of the dreamer’s previous life – whether they really were or came to mind as a certain essence that characterized the previous life.
- Description of the lives of the narrators as ‘a fairy tale’. The mission of ‘Life as a Fairy Tale’ is given to school graduates as a final assignment that concludes their training as biographical-anthroposophical counselors. The ‘legends’ written as Imaginations[2] are incredibly moving, and provide vast information and a deep understanding of the person behind the story.
