Dynamic Biography & Karmic Investigations

An Advanced Yearly Program in Biography & Karma

November 2026 – June 2027

This advanced yearly program weaves together two complementary paths of study: Dynamic Biography, an experiential exploration of our own biographies, and Karmic Investigations, based on Rudolf Steiner’s research into the recurring lives of historical figures. Throughout the year, we will alternate between these two streams of learning, allowing each to illuminate and deepen the other.

In one meeting, we will turn our attention inward, exploring our own biographies through the tools of biographical counseling. Together, we will investigate meaningful life events, dreams, relationships, and questions that arise from our daily lives, learning to recognize the spiritual laws woven through our personal journeys.

In the following meeting, we will widen our perspective through the study of karma in history. Guided by Rudolf Steiner’s karmic investigations, we will explore the repeated incarnations of well-known historical figures, discovering the spiritual logic connecting one lifetime to another and developing a living understanding of karma in action.

The dialogue between these two modes of learning—personal inner work and objective spiritual research—creates a dynamic process that strengthens our capacity to perceive biography and karma with greater clarity, depth, and sensitivity.

This program is intended for advanced students who have completed—or are currently completing—the full Practicing Karma program and have participated in at least one year of Hotam’s Community Studies.
