Orna Ben Dor

Born in 1961, married and a mother of two.
I am a biographical counselor working according to Anthroposophy and Kabbalah, guiding individuals and groups, and engaged in adult education. I am the founder of the community and the School for Biographical Counseling “Hotam,” which I direct, while also training biographical counselors.

Since 1993, I have been a student of my spiritual teacher, the late Mr. Zvi Briger, an anthroposophical researcher of spiritual science and a pioneer in biographical counseling. I facilitate advanced enrichment workshops in biography based on his research and write books on psychological-spiritual development and the investigation of the essence and meaning of life. Mr. Briger was a profound interpreter of the knowledge of the human being as given by Dr. Rudolf Steiner, and the fruits of his research can be applied both in biographical work and in personal development.

I am also a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and hold a B.A. in Philosophy.

A few years ago, following a personal crisis, an inner calling awakened in me—to return to the spiritual roots of Judaism through the wisdom of Kabbalah, as taught in the lineage of the contemporary Kabbalist known as “Baal HaSulam” (Rabbi Yehuda Leib HaLevi Ashlag). Gradually, the study of Kabbalah became a central path in our school. The integration of biographical work through Anthroposophy and Kabbalah opens new depths for understanding human life and biography—both as an individual and as a member of a community.

For me, biographical counseling is more than a profession—it is the expression of my spiritual calling and my part in tikkun olam (the healing of the world). Through it, I help others find their own path and receive guidance regarding life’s questions—about meaning, relationships, partnership, career change, vocation, and purpose.

Beyond the formal training I have received over the years, my greatest training is my own biography. My life is not merely private; they are, first and foremost, a “research laboratory” for discovering and applying the spiritual knowledge that I study and teach.
